The forum includes artists featured in the Laguna Art Museum’s current exhibition “WOW: Emergent Media Phenomenon,”including CAD faculty members  Antoinette LaFarge and Robert Nideffer, as well as local media artist Eddo Stern and Blizzard Entertainment’s cinematics project lead, Jeff Chamberlain. Contemporary New Media Arts Lecture Series: David Ross

The Beall Center is proud to present a lecture by David Ross, in conjunction with the Beall Center’s fall exhibit “Media Alchemy of Nam June Paik”. Ross is a leading expert on the work of Paik and will greatly enhance audience understanding of Paik’s groundbreaking work.

Contemporary New Media Arts Lecture Series: Bill Viola

Bill Viola is considered a pioneer in the medium of video art and is internationally recognized as one of today’s leading artists. He has been instrumental in the establishment of video as a vital form of contemporary art, and in so doing has helped to greatly expand its scope in terms of technology, content and historical reach.

Studio Art faculty member Antoinette LaFarge is taking part in the 090909 UpStage Festival of online performance as a performer-artist for “Salvation” by Marlena Corcoran. The schedule is a little odd for the California time zone since the times are optimized for New Zealand, where the festival hosted:
